Melissa will be playing at the Carleton Maximum Blues festival on August 8th, 2008. Beginning on August 6th, 2008, Five days of blues, five days of festivities on the beautiful site of the municipal beach of Carleton. Every year on the first week of august almost 25 000 people gather to hear some great music.

Kitchen Party

Every Friday Night is a Kitchen Party at the Salt Water's Lounge in Dalhousie.  This week, Melissa will be the featured guest, and if you would like to join her for a good old fashioned jam, bring your instruments down to the bar,  and join in on this hell of a good time! Don't Be Shy, we look foward to having great jams with you!  

The salt waters lounge is located near the Marina in Dalhousie.

Melissa at the Wendake Pow Wow

July 25th, 26th, & 27th

Melissa will be playing at the Wendake Pow Wow. A huge festive gathering with singers and dancers from many different First Nations, the Pow Wow is an exceptional opportunity to plunge into First Nations culture. This year, there will be a selection of troupes and performers from First Nations across Canada, the United States and South America.

Workshops on traditional crafts, presentation of First Nations artisans from near and far, tastings of delicious fish and game products, friendly portage competitions, canoe races, Lacrosse matches, live evening entertainment: this is an experience you're not soon to forget.

The 2008 Pow Wow will reflect the immense pride of the Wendat people, named as the Host Nation for the 400th anniversary of Québec City.

Melissa will be featured in the theatre / musical production "Icitte Asteure" in Saint-Simeon, Que.

"Les Hâmeçons salés present the musical tale "Icitte Asteure” at the enchanting site of the Café du Havre in Saint-Siméon. They invite you to follow the tale of Christian, a city dweller by adoption who sells his soul to the devil to return to his native Gaspésie. This year, Pierre-André Bujold, Guillaume Arsenault, and Philippe Patenaude present a renewed version of their show and allow you to discover a Gaspesian artist every week."
